Emilee Moore
Favorite color at the moment?
Pink or a pastel-ish orange!
Describe your happy place.
I's summertime, I'm with my fam and friends and I'm eating sushi or pizza! Or anytime I'm sitting at the piano.
What is your art?
I have a lot of music in the works, but focusing on my next single right now!
Is there an overall message, feeling or theme that your art is meant to evoke? I think the most important thing for me is for people to listen to my music and feel understood in their heartbreak. When I was at my lowest and very heartbroken, music that made me feel less alone and understood helped me get through. If I can put into words the heartbreaking emotions other people are feeling and thinking so they don't have to, my job is done!
Where do you create?
A lot of the time I'm writing at the piano by myself! But a lot of songs come to life over tracks that my producers make as well! I love collaborating, but I mostly love being by myself for the early stages of an idea so I can fully grasp what I'm trying to get across. Then, my team comes in and we bring it all together as a whole!
Who or what have you been inspired by recently?
I've been loving Samia's album 'The Baby' and have been listening to a lot of Phoebe Bridgers as well. I will also love Justin Bieber til the day I die, so I'm enjoying his new album too.
What are you working towards now?
I'm very excited to eventually be putting a full length album out! And to collaborate more with other new artists that are coming up. Ideally, I can get started on live shows as soon as Covid dies down because I haven't been able to perform any of my songs for anyone in real life yet!
Why do you do what you do?
I love music so much. And loving it this much feels like the best reason to keep doing it. I enjoy this work so much and can't imagine doing anything else. As for the purpose behind my music, it's really important for me to make meaningful, honest music that can impact others as they navigate heartbreak. All I want to do is create a space musically where listeners can feel safe bringing their heartbreak to the surface because they know I've felt it too. We're in it together!
Where can we view your work / find you online?
My music is out on all streaming platforms! And I'm also on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
